High winds, significant beach erosion, and flooding are taking place here in Sea Isle City.  The main bridge is still open to traffic during lower tides but check with the police during high tide to see if the main road is clear.  National Guard is on the island and the TI bridge is closed indefinitely due to a barge breaking free from its moorings and slamming into the base of the bridge.  The storm is suppose to move away sometime tomorrow.  We have not lost power on the island since the beginning of the storm Wednesday evening.  The biggest concern is the enormous flooding during high tides and beach erosion as the ocean continues to pound and eeat away at the dunes.  Some of the beach paths now lead to a 6 to 9 foot drop off.
